Radical Broccoli Retreat

January 6-11, 2026 | Santa Teresa, Costa Rica 

A week of deep connection, expansion, and coming back to what truly matters.

In January 2026, we gathered in Santa Teresa for a wellness retreat in Costa Rica, hosted at a beautiful retreat center overlooking the jungle and ocean.

Surrounded by nature, our days unfolded through movement, workshops, surfing, rest, and practices designed to support nervous system regulation and inner alignment.

Together, we set intentions, explored what was holding us back, and created powerful shifts — both individually and as a group.

The Experience

 
This retreat was a full circle moment for us. It took place in the very location where our journey in Santa Teresa began years ago—where we first explored healing, plant-based living, surfing, and spirituality, and even hosted our very first mini retreat.
 
Over 6 days, we created a space to slow down, open the heart, and reconnect with what truly matters.
 
Our days unfolded in a natural rhythm: mornings with movement and nature, nourishing meals, time to rest, and workshops, surfing, and experiences that invited reflection, release, and growth.
 
Evenings brought us together through ceremonies, sharing, and gentle practices to integrate the day.
 
Surrounded by jungle, ocean views, and a like-minded community, something shifted.
 

The Location

When we gathered for our Costa Rica retreat in Santa Teresa, Thea Resort & Retreats became an unforgettable part of the experience.
 
The first time we visited Thea Resort & Retreats, we were completely blown away. We had never seen anything this beautiful before, and the ocean view over the jungle is nothing short of stunning. 
 
Surrounded by nature, we spent our days between the open-air yoga deck, infinity pool, and peaceful corners of the retreat—all designed to support rest, connection, and presence.
 
It was a place that invited us to slow down, take it all in, and fully land in the experience.

The Menu

Food was a vibrant part of our Costa Rica retreat in Santa Teresa.
 
We enjoyed nourishing, home-made meals prepared by a local in-house chef centered around fresh, tropical, and seasonal ingredients, with a mix of plant-based dishes and local fish.
 
Each meal was colorful, energizing, and deeply satisfying: supporting our days of movement, rest, and connection.
 
We also experienced local flavors like Gallo Pinto, Casado, fresh batidos, pipa frío, and plenty of plantain—a true taste of Costa Rica!
 

 

The Program 

 A typical day at our retreat can look something like this:
 
6/7 am: wake up to soft sounds of the jungle. Hydrate and have some fruits/snacks. Wake the body slowly with natural sunlight 
 
7/8 am: meet in yoga shala for our morning movement. Yoga, pilates-inspired strength training, dance or a combination. Will be catered to how you feel and everyone's needs
 
9 am: delicious, tropical breakfast in our outdoors dining area created by our in-house chef. Eating and enjoying slowly
 
10 am: take some rest, alone time, journal. Let the impressions soak in, and your brain and body process 
 
12 pm: delicious lunch either in town or at our retreat location
 
13.30 pm: workshop with Anette/Susanne. Topics such as deepening self-love, neuroscience, manifestation, scripting, growing through our fears
 
3 pm: surfing, horse riding, a hike, or some much-needed rest
 
5.30 pm: gathering with some fresh coconut water to watch the sun set across the horizon, with our magical view 
 
6 pm: delicious dinner together, enjoying seasonal and local varieties, and hopefully trying something new 
 
8 pm: close the day in the shala with some light movement, sharing session, journaling together or pulling cards 
 
9 pm: sleeping like a dream
