December in The Radical Broccoli Membership:
Inner Child Month
This month inside the membership, we’re reconnecting with one of the most magical and tender parts of ourselves — our inner child. The part of us that still believes in wonder, loves to play, feels deeply, and longs to be seen and held just as we are.
So often, our inner child carries the emotions, needs, and dreams that were never fully met or expressed. When we take time to listen, nurture, and love this part of ourselves, something truly beautiful happens — we begin to feel safe, open, and more alive.
From a healing and neuroscience perspective, this is incredibly powerful work. When we connect with the inner child, we’re actually helping our nervous system feel safe again. We calm the brain’s stress responses, soften the amygdala (our inner alarm system), and strengthen the pathways that bring us back to regulation, connection, and joy. In simple terms — we’re rewiring our bodies for love instead of survival.
This month is an invitation to slow down, be gentle, and remember what it feels like to be you — before the world told you who you had to be. Through meditations, creativity, and reflection, we’ll let our inner child lead the way back to softness, authenticity, and magic.
Honoring our parents
In our third session, we’ll explore one of the most tender parts of inner child healing — our relationship with our parents or caregivers.
So much of who we are today — our patterns, emotions, and beliefs — was shaped through these early connections. This week, we’ll soften our gaze and look at our parents not as the people who were supposed to have it all figured out, but as humans who were also doing their best with what they knew, what they’d lived through, and the tools they had.
Through reflection and guided meditation, we’ll practice seeing the good, remembering moments of love or care — however small — and allowing compassion to enter. This isn’t about excusing pain or denying what hurt. It’s about freeing ourselves from the weight of resentment and finding peace in understanding.
When we begin to forgive, our nervous system relaxes. The body moves from defense to openness. The heart starts to trust again. This is where deep healing happens — where we begin to parent ourselves with the love and gentleness we always needed.
Come to this session with an open heart and a willingness to see your story in a new light. You may leave feeling lighter, softer, and more connected to both your parents and yourself.
Group Mentoring
We gather in circle to share, to be witnessed, and to integrate all that’s been awakened. This is a space to speak from the heart, to reflect on what you’ve discovered, and to receive gentle guidance and support. Together, we’ll celebrate your courage to reconnect, to feel, to play. You’ll leave with a renewed sense of self - whole, alive, and deeply connected to the child within.
