Our favorite eco-candles

@anetteI LOVE candles, especially candles that smell good and look pretty. I also like to burn them all the way down and use the glass as containers for my jewelry. Did you know that candles that we buy in regular stores are really bad for the environment and our health? Not only are they a hassle to recycle, but they also contain a lot of different toxic chemicals that get released into your home when you light them on fire. Most candles are made of paraffin wax which is a by-product of the petroleum chain, releasing chemicals and carcinogens such as toluene and benzene when we light them up. Even more, if these candles are scented with synthetic fragrances then give off particles when heated which are also bad for your health. Therefore, I am always looking for candles that meet all my requirements, good for the environment, smell good and look pretty. Right now these are my favorites!Midnight somewhere from Sunday - Bolia This candle smells of lavender, rose, lime, and orange peel. It is organic, vegan and environmentally friendly. The wax in the candle is made from GMO-free coconut and palm-free plant wax. It's handmade and placed in a pharmacy cup made in the UK. I love both how it looks and the way it smells!Bjørktuva - VakinmeThis Sweedish brand has made a naturally scented candle that brings out the good smells of the Scandinavian nature, from the dark forests to the deep rivers. Everything is 100% organic, plant-based, free from parabens and other synthetic fragrances with biodegradable soya-wax.
